Dr. Xavier Sevilla


Dr. Sevilla is a primary care pediatrician in Bradenton. He has a passion for Quality Improvement (QI), especially relating to primary care office practices. He started his QI journey in 2003, when he was awarded the honorable mention of the Quality of Care Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics for his work on improving care for the medically underserved patients in Manatee County, Florida.

What do you think is the most pressing need in Manatee County?
Helping the community by focusing on healthy and educated children.

What initially drew you to become involved with the Manatee Community Foundation?
Work supporting UnidosNow.

Favorite hobby and why?
Cycling (the best way to deal with stress) and cooking (and feeding folks reminds me of extended family childhood memories).

What’s the most interesting or unique skill or talent you possess that others might not know about?
I’m a Lean Six Sigma black belt.

What advice would you give to individuals who are interested in getting involved with philanthropy or serving on a nonprofit board?
Don’t wait until you are in your golden years to give back.

What’s your favorite inspirational quote or motto that guides you in your personal and professional life?
“Good enough, never is” and “Better has no limit.”
