How to Find the Right Nonprofit for You

Looking to discover a new (to you!) nonprofit?  Maybe there’s an issue in the news tugging at your heart, and you would like to make a donation to help. Or a recent life event has moved a new mission area to the top of the list of your philanthropic priorities. Are you newer to our community and wanting to learn which local nonprofits are making gains in the areas you care about most?

Jennifer Abbott

No matter what sparks your interest in learning about a new organization, Manatee Community Foundation is here to be a resource for you.  It is our business to know what local nonprofits are doing to address the needs in our community. Also, to know which are expanding, which have a new need, which are partnering with other organizations, and which are strategic in their work.

Manatee Community Foundation regularly hosts opportunities for learning: behind the scenes tours of nonprofits, panels of experts exploring critical issues, and workshops on trends in philanthropy. We would love for you to join us!

And did you know that individual assistance is also available? Getting to know your values, priorities and interests – and then matching them to the agencies and needs in the community – is an important part of our role at the Manatee Community Foundation. And rest assured that you don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for to reach out. We can be helpful even in the exploration phase as you develop or re-evaluate your philanthropic priorities.

This is why we like to say we are Your Partner In Philanthropy.
