Today Manatee Community Foundation chatted with national fund development consultant Janet Cady to share how board members can be more engaged in major gift fundraising. We were joined by staff and volunteer leaders from nonprofit organizations around the country for this candid conversation, filled with examples, stories and knowledge.

The pandemic is providing a new impetus to change our obsession with fundraising events and look to a more transformative model to secure the resources needed for charitable missions.

Jan Cady is an Executive Partner at the fundraising consulting firm BWF. A leader in philanthropy for more than 25 years, Jan’s expertise encompasses board development, major and principal gifts, campaign strategy, foundation modeling, and coaching/training for chief development officers, CEOs, senior foundation staff and major gift officers.

She currently serves on the board of Johns Hopkins All Children’s (St. Petersburg) and as Board Vice President, International Women’s Forum, FL Suncoast Chapter.
