We’re Looking for Our Next Intern. Is It You?

Manatee Community Foundation is hiring a short-term, part-time Communications Intern (15 hours per week) to support our work in the community.

Our candidate will have a passion for what caring people make possible in our community through their time, talents and treasure and a belief in the power of diversity, equity and inclusion to strengthen the outcomes of philanthropy. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in Spanish for developing professional content.

In partnership with Manatee Community Foundation’s staff, the Communications Intern will:

  • Write human interest stories, blog posts, and other communication pieces after interviewing local leaders, reviewing grant results and applications, and talking with community members.
  • Develop social media content telling the story of MCF’s work supporting diverse communities and people of color in Manatee County.
  • Prepare platform for MCF staff to learn about initiatives, information, and community work impacting diverse communities in the area through active listening on social platforms and local/national news sites.
  • Assist with community conversations to capture ideas and listening that will enhance Foundation understanding.
