MCF Is Hiring a Donor and Event Coordinator

Manatee Community Foundation seeks a dynamic professional with a deep appreciation for philanthropy and its role in our community. The donor and event coordinator supports development functions of the foundation, nonprofit services such as use of meeting rooms, and the work of other team members. The position coordinates foundation events from planning to execution and follow up with a high degree of professionalism to ensure an experience that successfully stewards fund holders and cultivates prospects. This includes a strict focus on detail and responsiveness in handling RSVPs, payments and sponsorships, guest inquiries, food and vendor contracts, and other tasks. Supports communications functions including maintaining accurate lists, coordinating invitations and donor outreach, and updating portions of the website.

Coordinates meeting room requests and guest needs at Manatee Community Foundation including tracking request forms, setting up rooms, and ensuring that the facility is well taken care of. Serves as the vital first point of contact at MCF and is responsible for greeting donor and nonprofit visitors and answering calls with professionalism and warmth. Prepares donor acknowledgement letters, updates the donor database, and participates in cultivation activities on and off site. Assists executive director with board and committee work and supports other staff in a friendly, dedicated and team-driven environment. Requires some early mornings and occasional evenings. Position is 40 hours per week.

Excellent customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite with an aptitude for learning new technology. Qualified candidates will be committed team players joining a small staff of three with enthusiasm for a learning organization.
