On Tuesday, April 14, Manatee Community Foundation partnered with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Southwest Florida Chapter, to present a webinar featuring internationally known fundraising consultant Bob Carter, “Fundraising In Uncertain Times.” More than 400 from local, national, and international markets registered.

In the hour-long session that covered topics ranging from effective messaging to preparation for recovery, Carter emphasized the importance of nonprofit leaders affirming confidence that their organizations have vital missions that will be sustained.

A few noteworthy conversation points:

  • Strong organizations are fundraising and communicating with their donors at this time.
  • Board members have vital roles in giving, providing important voices in encouraging others to support your organization, in confidently confirming the mission, and thanking donors.
