New Process Helps MCF Understand Opportunities to Invest In Positive Gains Throughout the Year

A lot has changed because of the pandemic, and together with our nonprofit colleagues, we have been learning.

The ability to be flexible, nimble, responsive and yes–more inclusive and accessible in meeting organizations where they are–is part of our approach.

We are still investing in gains for people, animals and special places, and we want to know how your organization is advancing equity.

In our process, MCF wants to be sure we’re doing our work in a way that allows us, our donors, and our nonprofit colleagues to receive more immediate feedback, information and mechanisms for working together.

We have created a process to receive requests for funding from 501(c)(3) charitable organizations on an ongoing basis, rather than once a year in a “competitive process.”

A volunteer grants committee will review nonprofit requests every two weeks for alignment with funds available for grantmaking. We may also share your request with donor advisors.
