Together Manatee Awards MCF $25,000 Grant

Together Manatee, a group of concerned and caring organizations that works together to bring positive and lasting change to Manatee County, awarded a $25,000 grant to Manatee Community Foundation to support its community space available to local nonprofit organizations.

“Together Manatee is very pleased to make this donation to such a worthwhile organization. We have witnessed the good that the Manatee Community Foundation can do working together with other organizations and individuals in the community and that’s what Together Manatee is all about,” said Bob Turner, president and publisher of the Bradenton Herald.

The gift establishes Together Manatee as a “Pillar of the Community,” an investment that will make it possible for important conversations shaping dialogue about health, human services, animal welfare, environmental preservation, and arts and culture to take place in Manatee Community Foundation’s professional event space on Manatee Avenue West.

Membership on the Together Manatee board includes Air & Energy, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, Blake Hospital, Bradenton Herald, Cox Chevrolet, Grapevine Inc., Manatee Technical College, Mosaic, Pier 22 & Twin Dolphin Marina, Pittsburgh Pirates, Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, St. Stephens Episcopal School, State College of Florida, and University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee.
