It’s Easy to Open or Add to a Donor Advised Fund

Many philanthropic people choose to create their own charitable funds for giving in their community, throughout the state and across the country.

Working in partnership with Manatee Community Foundation for your donor advised fund allows you to tap into local knowledge about nonprofits, pooled investments, and personalized support with your giving.

The minimum to open a new donor advised fund is $5,000.

There are no requirements for annual giving to your fund, and you can recommend grants to any 501c3 in the country. You can open or add to your donor advised fund with cash or with appreciated assets such as stock.

The IRS does not allow donors to contribute to Donor Advised Funds using IRAs, but now is an amazing time to donate your required minimum distribution to your favorite nonprofit organizations.
